Global Engagement

Facing global challenges such as energy exhaustion, climate change, and AI ethics, my education instills a profound sense of responsibility to act for the greater good. To fulfill this mission, I seek more than technical expertise by engaging in international discussions, deepening my understanding of humanity's most pressing issues, and exploring meaningful solutions.

Delegate at Yenching Global Symposium 2024 (YGS 2024)

Beijing, China
Apr, 2024

One discussion I found particularly engaging focused on AI ethics and data security, highlighting how AI is evolving faster than legal frameworks. Data is now a vital resource, akin to petroleum, raising questions about how law can balance data usage for AI-driven productivity with privacy protection. There was also debate around the geopolitical challenges of one country exploiting another's data, particularly between two AI superpowers, and how such conflicts could be addressed under evolving international law.

Core-organizer at 1st Tsinghua Global Youth Dialogue (TGYD)

Shenzhen-Chengdu-Beijing, China
Aug, 2023

The Tsinghua Global Youth Dialogue was one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. It provided a valuable platform for engaging global youth on pressing issues, fostering learning, connections, and solutions amid international tensions and global challenges. This event wasn’t just for today’s youth, but for future generations, as we strive to shape a better world. Leading a 60-member group from 33 countries through three cities and successfully hosting the dialogue at Tsinghua strengthened my leadership and built lasting friendships. As TGYD’s United Youth Initiative states, “May our children and grandchildren inherit a world that reflects the best of what we know to be possible, guided by courage, integrity, and selfless service."

Academic Exchange to University of Auckland

Auckland, New Zealand
Nov, 2019

I gained valuable insights into New Zealand's college education and research, particularly in acoustics, drone aerodynamics, machine vision, and path planning. One of the most fascinating experiences was witnessing the use of wind tunnels to optimize cyclists' helmets, bikes, and suits for reducing wind resistance. I also had the chance to explore New Zealand's stunning landscapes, including geothermal parks, massive ancient trees, and the breathtaking beauty of what is often called the last piece of clean land on the earth.
